The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess

Chappell Roan

I’m glad I’ve finally listened to this album after recently hearing Chappell Roan’s music on the radio! This album is full of infectious bangers, and I especially love “Casual” and “Pink Pony Club.” The synth elements are great, and Chappell Roan’s voice is highly dynamic, ranging from yearning to assertive and bold.

Some verse melody lines sounded simplistic, and the delivery sounded Taylor Swift-esque. But, interestingly, I never thought these parts were boring because they never last that long, and they’re backed by exciting tracks. In other words, some parts sound like Taylor Swift if her music wasn’t monotonous.
