One of my college professors first put John Prine on my radar years ago, and I’ve finally gotten around to listening.
The writing on this album is exceptional and captivating––beautiful, vivid, and clever. Most of the tracks impressed me; my favorite is “Paradise,” but “Six O’Clock News” has my favorite story and overall writing.
The instrumentation and mixing were spot-on, and I enjoyed the nuanced playing.
