BEFORE LOVE CAME TO KILL US

I love Reyez’s writing and she has a great voice, but I found most of this album underwhelming. A handful of tracks were above average (e.g., “ANKLES,” “ROOF”); the rest ranged from average to boring. However, I found this satisfying as unfocused background music while working on tasks.
Also, I’m not a fan of the grainy distortion on the vocals… what’s up with that?
