I listened to this one because I wanted to actively listen to some of the great modern Christmas songs rather than hear them in passing on the radio. It’s an enjoyable listen and a nice way to get into the holiday spirit.
I learned a few things from listening to this album:
- “A Marshmallow World” is an absolute banger
- The album was released on the day JFK was assassinated
- Christmas songs blur together for me. Maybe I’ve heard them all so frequently that it’s hard for each to be distinctive
- “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” was released on this album, and it might be my second favorite Christmas song (behind “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” of course)
